About this Event
Going beyond the basics taught in Beginners Sewing, we will be learning in greater depth about some of the more advanced stitches and techniques that you can achieve with your sewing machine. You can use one of our Britannia sewing machines.
We will explore:
- Installing a zipper
- Sewing a buttonhole
- Sewing on a button
- Finishing a woven fabric with an overcast stitch
- Making a blind hem
- Using a walking foot
- Exploring free motion embroidery
We will also talk about how to care for your machine, discussing sewing machine needles and how/why to change them, along with picking the right needle and foot for different fabrics.
Supplied: Scissors, Pins, Tape Measures, Tea and Coffee.
Required: Your Britannia sewing machine, Your machine manual and Lunch
