Bio
Dr Jack Auty is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Health at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury. His research focuses on inflammation, microplastics, and brain health, investigating how environmental microplastics may contribute to disease in both people and wildlife. Before joining the University of Canterbury, Jack held research and teaching positions in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Australia, building expertise across neuroscience, immunology, and environmental health. He is also passionate about science outreach, working with schools, engaging with community media, and contributing to public conversations about science.
