About this Event
The Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs (MOAPIA), the Mayor’s Office on Women’s Policy and Initiatives (MOWPI), and the DC Public Library (DCPL) are hosting a movie night featuring K-Pop Demon Hunters.
This event celebrates the enduring contributions of women across generations, honoring their leadership, resilience, and impact on families and communities. This family-friendly event brings together women, children, and community members to recognize the past, uplift the present, and inspire the next generation of women leaders.
The featured movie is called, K-Pop Demon Hunters, an animated K-pop musical film about a popular K-pop girl group, Huntrix (Rumi, Mira, Zoey), who secretly use their music and powers to fight demons threatening to steal human souls, facing their biggest challenge from a rival demon boy band led by Jinu, all while exploring themes of self-acceptance, identity, and the intense K-pop culture.
