About this Event

Join Win With Black Women DC for an intimate and enlightening exploration of Black women's history at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.

In celebration of Black History Month, we are honored to host this specially curated tour honoring the legacy of The Colored Girls—celebrating the voices, struggles, triumphs, and enduring strength of Black women throughout history. Led by the distinguished docent Nona Florence, this exclusive experience will take us through the powerful narratives, extraordinary achievements, and resilient spirit of Black women who have shaped American history and continue to inspire future generations.

This intimate tour is limited to just 20 participants to ensure meaningful engagement with the exhibits and an opportunity for deeper conversation and connection with fellow community members.

What to Expect:

• Expert-led tour by docent Nona Florence, highlighting stories of Black women's resilience, innovation, and leadership

• Deep dive into artifacts, exhibits, and collections celebrating Black women's contributions across civil rights, arts, culture, politics, and beyond

• Opportunity to connect with fellow members of the Win With Black Women DC community

• Meaningful conversation and reflection on how Black women's history informs our present and future

This is more than a museum visit—it's a celebration of our heritage, our strength, and our sisterhood. Whether you're a longtime member or new to Win With Black Women DC, we welcome you to this special gathering.

Please note: Due to the intimate nature of this experience and limited capacity, we kindly ask that you only register if you are confident you can attend. Your commitment helps ensure that all who wish to participate have the opportunity to join us.
