About this Event

Make note of THE AGENT MEETING INSTRUCTIONS when booking so you have the code words to exchange with your host!

If you enjoy real-life spy stories, covert operations, and international intrigue, this fun, educational and interactive tour is for you.

Visit select spy sites in the iconic Georgetown neighborhood with a former intelligence officer. Along the way your expert guide, and former intelligence officer, shares personal anecdotes from their time overseas and interprets the remarkable history shaped by the people who called this neighborhood home, including leaders, heroes and traitors. Learn about the unique mindset of this profession as you explore the hidden histories that residents played in espionage during WWII and the Cold War. Hear more about impersonal communication and how it mitigates against risk and test the theory by reading a signal site and unloading a dead drop.

Don’t forget your walking shoes, bring water, and dress for the weather.

*Note: This tour begins outside of Oak Hill Cemetery at the intersection of Rst. and 30th St NW and ends about .7 mile away outside of Martin's Tavern.
