Miami Climate Week: A Day in the Dirt at The Underline

Join Friends of The Underline and our partners at Miami Climate 365 for A Day in the Dirt, a fun, community volunteer event dedicated to keeping The Underline green, vibrant, and thriving.

Spend the morning outdoors, helping care for our gardens through weeding, planting, and plant bed maintenance. You’ll work alongside The Underline’s horticulture team, including our horticulturist and experienced Block Captains, who will guide volunteers through hands-on activities that support our park’s native landscaping and ecological health.

This is more than just a volunteer day—it’s a chance to learn about South Florida’s native plants and wildlife, discover how to attract birds and butterflies to your own yard, and explore how native landscaping helps support a healthier environment in our city.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just curious about getting involved, everyone is welcome. Bring your energy, meet fellow climate advocates, and help us grow something beautiful together.

• Location: Vizcaya Metrorail Station, 3205 SW 1st Avenue, Miami, FL 33145

What to Expect

• Hands-on gardening and planting bed maintenance

Accessibility: The Underline is fully wheelchair accessible.

Rain Policy: In the event of a 50% or greater chance of rain, the event will be postponed. Participants will be notified 2 hours before the event.
