Metta Meditation - Tea & Sound Ceremony

Join Giselle and Thunderbird for a journey into the essence of loving kindness.
In this ceremony, we will discover the fullness of our heart's resonance as we drift upon the waves of sound. Joining together in the Zen Buddhist tea ritual, known as leaves in a bowl, we will explore a moving form of meditation. On this soul voyage, we will observe our interconnectedness with the elements of nature, and all beings. As we open to compassion we can reveal and heal the true nature of our heart's endless capacity for loving ourselves and others.

Utilizing the soothing sounds of singing bowls, chimes, drums, and her own voice, Giselle combines her background in meditation with her training in music to expertly create a soundscape journey, in which she guides you to explore your inner world at new depths, in a way that is at once stimulating, and restful. Experience bliss and unconditional self love.

There will be yoga mats and blankets on-site , but feel free to bring anything that would make you most comfortable.

Giselle of GG Empowers LLC is a trauma-informed, Buddhist, multi-disciplinary artist, facilitator, and healer. She loves creating unique, insightful experiences that bring creativity and wellness together and explore concepts like the inner critic and inner child. Her art forms of choice are healing dance, mindful painting, and sound healing. Using these mediums, she facilitates mindfulness, helping others strengthen their meditative practice, while also promoting more play and rest for adults. As someone who learned how to thrive while having C-PTSD, she relates to and is deeply supportive of those who embark on a journey of unconditional self love and healthy relating. In everything she does are the core beliefs that everyone is whole and complete, and that the terms ‘enough’ or ‘not enough’ are too limiting to describe all that you are, even if you have forgotten this truth. She is also a firm believer in nonduality - in the concept that all of your experiences are important, valid, and beautiful in the context of your individual path. Annabelle Thunderbird was born on a military installation in Southern Georgia and now lives and creates in the city of Frederick, Maryland. Her life is immersed in the healing arts as she has journeyed out of the Underworld of Disorder. When not writing, she is often connecting with nature, or walking through the graveyards of the people that she used to be. She is an avid home herbalist and ceremonial practitioner. She is also a lifelong dancer and lover of moving energy, harnessing movement to transmute Suffering into Soul Essence.

A leaves-in-a-bowl tea ceremony is a moving meditation that invites us to embrace the present moment and brings us back to simplicity.
Here we give pause to the busy mind and embrace the interplay with the elements of Mother Gaia.
This practice invites us to remember that we are connected with all of nature around us, with each other, and with ourselves.
In these moments of stillness, we pause the distractions of daily life and come back to a space of contentment.
