Menopause Reimagined: Why Is My Body Changing
About this Event
Your body is changing—but understanding why can change how you respond to it.
Join Taft Aesthetics and Mission Physical Therapy for the next Menopause Reimagined, an intimate women’s wellness experience created to make the conversations surrounding perimenopause and menopause easier, more informative, and a lot less overwhelming.
This time, we’re tackling a question we hear from women all the time:
“Why does my body feel so different?”
During this small-group conversation, we’ll explore some of the changes women may notice during midlife and discuss practical ways to support your body through nutrition, strength, movement, and overall wellness.
We’ll talk about topics including:
- Changes women may notice in weight and body composition during midlife
- Nutrition and fueling your body through the menopause transition
- Protein, fiber, and balanced nutrition
- The importance of maintaining strength and muscle as we age
- Resistance and weight-bearing exercise
- Mobility, function, and pelvic health
- Sleep, stress, thyroid/metabolic considerations, and other factors that may contribute to how you feel
- Realistic strategies you can incorporate into everyday life
You’ll hear perspectives from Janelle Brown-Taft, FNP-C, Teri with Mission Physical Therapy, and members of the Mission team specializing in nutrition and physical therapy.
And because some of the best conversations happen when women have the opportunity to actually talk, we’ll leave plenty of time for questions and open discussion.
What to expect
This is not a large seminar. Menopause Reimagined is intentionally kept small so that women can feel comfortable participating, asking questions, and connecting with our providers and one another.
