About this Event
Is your mending pile getting out of hand? This is your excuse to finally dig in. This is part one of a three-part mending series! Each workshop opens with focused instruction, then settles into shared work time where you can make real progress on your pile while swapping skills and company.
This session focuses on darning — the art of repairing stretchy items like socks, leggings, sweaters, and t-shirts. Darning is hand mending and is often visible, even proudly so. Sort through your pile, grab the stretchy things, and bring them along.
Classes run 1–4pm. No worries if you can't stay the full time — come for what you can.
What's Provided Basic supplies will be on hand. If you have a mending egg, large-eye needles, or bits of colorful fine yarn, bring them along! And don't forget something to drink and a snack.
What to Wear / Safety Notes No special attire required. Be mindful of needles during class.
Skill Level: All levels welcome — instruction included.
Age Requirement: Participants must be 18 or older.

To help us share these opportunities widely:
- Each participant may claim an Equitable Access seat once per quarter (every three months).
- These spots are first-come, first-served and limited by class size.
- If you've already used an equitable seat this quarter, we ask that you register at full price so others can benefit.
Please only claim these tickets if cost is truly a barrier for you — this helps ensure that those who need the support most can take part.
