Presented by Conscious Closet Swap (Jessica and Volunteers) with the support of Meerilinga Woodvale, this swap event is about keeping good-quality clothes in circulation and out of landfill.
Men's, Womens and Children's clothing.
1. Go through your wardrobe to find clothes, shoes, jewellery, belts, hats, scarves which no longer fit or suit you. Any brands are fine.
2. Check that the items are clean and in good condition. Please show respect for the volunteers by ensuring items are washed and free of pet hair. Items requiring minor repairs should be bagged separately as they will not part of the swap on the day.
3. Bag up your items into reusable bags (paper bags are fine. No garbage bags!) and drop the items off from 1st-15th March at a designated drop-off point (Greenwood) or bring to Meerilinga Woodvale during their opening hours.
4. Volunteers will sort, arrange and hang the items. You can bring items on the day, however if you have more than one bag full it needs to be dropped off in advance to allow us time to process it as most of this happens before Sunday. Our team will be at Meerilinga from 9am on Swap Day, with tea and coffee and some snacks to keep you occupied while waiting for the shopping to begin.
5. Doors open for "shopping" at 11am. Bring your reusable bag! Drop in any time between 11am and 2pm. Have a browse, and a cuppa and chat with other sustainable fashion fans. If you are bringing a pram or walking aid, please come at 1pm when it will be less busy. There will still be many great items for you to take home, as items are re-stocked throughout the swap.
Any leftover items will be donated to various charities in line with their current requests. If you represent a charity and want us to set aside some items for you, please let us know.

This is a FREE event. Donate what you can, take what you need. No tickets, tokens, counting or weighing. Please RSVP so that we can try to have enough refreshments for everyone.
