Learn how to create 3D computer graphics with Blender!
About this Event

Learn how to create 3D computer graphics for still images, video, gaming, or 3D-printed modelling using Blender in this hands-on workshop in the Media Lab at Hurstville Library. In this session, you will learn how to use Blender, a free and open-source 3D modelling and animation software.

Blender is suitable for almost any sort of media production. Professionals, hobbyists, and studios around the world use Blender for creating animations, game assets, motion graphics, TV shows, concept art, story-boarding, commercials, and feature films. Learn what you can create in Blender using modelling, rendering, animation & rigging, video editing, VFX, compositing, texturing, and many types of simulations.

In this session, you will:

  • Learn how to navigate the features, interface, and workflow of Blender.
  • Gain an understanding of the jargon associated with 3D creation.
  • Use Blender to sculpt and create models.
  • Gain understanding of meshes, normals, lighting, and scenes.
  • Considerations when designing for 3D printing.

Please note this workshop only covers design and no items will be printed as part of this workshop.
