“He's the next guitar hero!”
— Peter Frampton
https://www.matthewcurry.com/
Matthew Curry has built a multi-generational audience through a deep, pure connection forged with fans that have encountered him via headline appearances and cherished support opportunities from some of the most successful touring and recording artists in the history of music. Simply, he is a singer-songwriter, who’s also known for his incredible guitar playing abilities, writing songs that draw from personal inspirations, incorporating elements of blues, rock, southern rock, and old school country in to his repertoire. Alongside a ton of headline dates across the U.S., and isolated appearances overseas, Matthew Curry has had the honor of touring with the Doobie Brothers, Steve Miller Band, Peter Frampton, Journey, Don Felder (of the Eagles), and others. Steve Miller articulated his thoughts about the left handed guitar slinger to Ultimate Classic Rock offering, "..,wonderful guitar player [and] great songwriter in the Stevie Ray Vaughan area of virtuosity and originality." While Peter Frampton shared to 96.5 The Fox, "... someone asked me in an interview today if I thought there could be anymore guitar heroes. Well, hell yes of course and Matthew is one who will prove that to be true.”
Curry was born and raised in Bloomington Illinois and began playing guitar at the age of four with encouragement from his father. He began playing live performances at the age of eight and by eleven, the young guitarist was fronting his own band and beginning his songwriting career. His first album “If I Don’t Got You” was released in 2012 followed by “Electric Religion” (2014), “Shine On” (2016), and “Open Road” (2019). In 2015, Curry made his debut on the big screen with his roll as the late Ronnie Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd in “Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser”, acting alongside comedy legend, David Spade. Throughout his adult life, Curry has toured and released music consistently amazing audiences all over the world with his fiery guitar playing and soulful vocals. Top 40 Charts says, “Curry has been creating a serious buzz the past few years. This rising star from the Heartland of Normal, IL. has already seen rock star-like standing ovations at key festivals both in the U.S. and abroad, and the lines for his autograph at the merchandise booths are longer than most headliners.” Patrick Simmons of the Doobie Brothers says, “The audience loved his well crafted songs, soaring guitar solos, and soulful singing. We were part of that audience. He is the real deal.”

The potluck is optional, but is a great chance to connect others in the audience and maybe even share a meal with the artist. It also helps ensure the artist isn't having to have a meal from a gas station. We'll provide the plates, bowls, silverware, napkins, and, if you need it, serving spoons. Feel free to bring anything you'd like--an entrée, appetizer, dessert, or drink to share. Bring something you will enjoy eating, because if you enjoy it it is likely others will as well.
