Race Time: 5k Run / Walk at 9 am……..Skamparoo (ages 6 & under) starts after 5k race ends
Race Day Registration: 7:30 am – 8:30 am at the Colony School grounds
Address / Location: 405 W Main St, Bishop Hill; 6 ½ mi NW of Galva; take Rte 34 to Bishop Hill turnoff; From I-74 – take Woodhull Exit, the 10 miles east via Rte17 & 34
Course: 5k route circles through historic Bishop Hill and to the hilly countryside outside of town
Divisions: Men & Women 7-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-70, 70+
Awards: Unique hand-carved wooden boot for overall Male & Female winners; Medals for top 3 times in each division; Overall winners are NOT eligible for age-group award.
Public Breakfast starting at 7:30 am
Runner Hospitality: Swedish specialties of muffins, hardtack, cheese, pickled herring and fresh fruit will follow the race
Proceeds will benefit the Bishop Hill Old Settlers’ Assoc in their continued effort to restore/maintain the historic 1861 Colony School and grounds.
Non-Refundable Entry Fees:
Pre-Registration on/before April 11th: Adults $25 w/t-shirt; 7 years–high school $18 w/t-shirt
Registration on Race Day & Beginning April 20th: Adults $28, 7 years-high school $20; t-shirts and sizes on day of race are subject to availability; Any excess/previous year merchandise will be available for sale at the Colony School on race day.
Skamparoo: 6 and under FREE – no shirt
