The Order of Malta Northern Virginia Region will be hosting its annual Anointing of the Sick mass at the Cathedral of Saint Thomas More on Laetare Sunday, 15 March 2026, celebrated by the Most Rev. Michael Burbidge, Bishop of Arlington. This liturgy invites all those in the Diocese of Arlington in need of healing to gather at the Cathedral to receive the sacraments of the sick and Eucharist. Participants are tended to by members of the Order, whose mission is to care for the sick and poor, and receive a Miraculous Medal and bottle of holy water from Lourdes to assist them in their faith journey following the mass.
