Join VCDC as we tour some lesser-known sites of interest in the Maryland suburbs. We'll encounter lost cities, hungry robots, messages from space, holy relics, and swords beaten into beach volleyball courts. We'll end at Brookside Gardens Nature Center, which is worth a visit by itself.
We will stop to pick up lunch at Gemelli's -- always a good idea to phone in an order in advance -- and ride about 20 minutes away to eat it. The lunch venue has a couple of tables but a picnic blanket would be a good idea in case they're taken or not enough to handle us all. Many stops have port-a-potties but few have proper bathrooms.
This ride is not 50cc-friendly.
This will be a long ride with numerous stops, so prepare for it to take a lot of your day. If you prefer to meet the group upcounty, contact Rob.
Note that we're meeting at the Cabin John Regional Park parking lot on Tuckerman Lane, not the ones on Democracy Boulevard or Westlake Drive.
