Join us for a day of hands-on workshops at the 21st Annual Marine Science Day for students in grades 4 - 8.Marine Science Day is all about exploring the wonders of the Long Island Sound estuary and marine science. Students will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Sound and surrounding ecosystems through hands-on workshops led by Project Oceanology's marine science educators, UCONN professors, graduate students, and local environmental experts. Our goal is to encourage scientific thinking and bridge a stronger connection to our marine environment.
Registration is required. Please register here: oceanology.org/marine-science-day. $35 per student. School groups and individuals are welcome to attend.
Past presentations have included workshops from Project Oceanology, Mystic Aquarium, UCONN Avery Point professors and graduate students, the Connecticut National Estuary Research Reserve (NERR), and Sea Grant.
