Need a little gift for Mom or any other special person? Children are invited to the Bill Memorial Library in the City of Groton on Saturday, May 9, 2026, between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM to decorate a clay pot and fill it with a beautiful plant to take home. All ages are welcome, but younger children will need an adult to help them. No registration is necessary, but plants are available while supplies last. This program is free and open to the public. Library hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday and Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The Bill Memorial Library, a landmark on Groton Bank since 1890, is located at 240 Monument Street in the City of Groton, near the Groton Monument and historic Fort Griswold.
