The Manchester Christmas Markets 2024 will take place from the 8th of November - the 22nd of December.

Get ready for Christmas in Santa's favorite city! Manchester’s famous Christmas Markets return on 8 November 2024, kicking off the season with Manchester’s own Festive Friday. Running until 22 December, these markets are a must-visit for locals and tourists, offering six weeks of festive fun and shopping.

Now in their 26th year, Manchester's Christmas Markets have become legendary, drawing millions to the city center. With over 200 stalls spread across nine locations, visitors can enjoy seasonal treats, mulled wine, and a wonderful festive atmosphere. Whether you're after handmade gifts, craft items, or delicious food, the markets cater to all tastes and ages.

This year’s stalls will be in key city centre spots, including:

- King Street West

- St Ann’s Square

- Exchange Street

- New Cathedral Street

- Exchange Square

- Corn Exchange

- Cathedral Gardens

- Market Street

When do the Manchester Christmas Markets open?

From 8 November to 22 December, the markets will be open every day. Craft and gift stalls will trade from 10 am to 8 pm, while food and drink stalls will serve from 11 am to 9 pm daily. On the final day, 22 December, the markets close at 6 pm, except for the food and drink stalls at Cathedral Gardens, which will remain open until 31 December.

Manchester Christmas Lights Trail 2024

The city will be decked out with festive lights, creating the perfect backdrop for your Christmas selfies. Look out for giant walk-through baubles, the iconic Manchester bee, and Santa Claus himself, perched high above St Peter’s Square, keeping track of who’s been naughty or nice.
