Being Human in an AI world: A Christian View
Description: Are humans special? Are they different from smart machines? Is it possible to be more than human? Behind these questions lurks an even deeper one: does life have a purpose? These are not just general philosophical questions, they are deeply personal. What we really want to know - everyone of us, is: Does my life mean anything? Does my life matter? The Christian answer to this question is a resounding "yes", and it has offered hope and joy to millions of people for thousands of years. Even if it does not convince everyone, it opens the door to serious consideration of the deepest questions we all face in light of recent developments in our technologically driven world.
Bio: : Dr. Reyes was recently appointed the St Augustine Chair for Evangelization at Augustine Institute. He has served in leadership positions throughout the Catholic world for organizations such as the US Catholic Bishops Conference in DC, FOCUS, Catholic Charities, Christendom College and the Knights of Columbus. He also helped found Christ in the City, a national missionary organization for serving the homeless, and the Augustine Institute. He met his wife of over 30 years at the University of Michigan and he and his 7 children are members of All Saints.

Manassas TOT, cosponsored by the Diocese of Arlington Young Adult Ministry and All Saints Young Adults, is held on the second Monday of each month at the Old Towne Sports Pub, located at 8971 Center St. Manassas, VA 20110.
All young adults (ages 19-35) single and married of all faith backgrounds are invited.
Food and drinks are served starting at 6:30 p.m., then the talk begins at 7:30 p.m. & ends with Q&A.
