Join our workshop and craft a one-of-a-kind bracelet and/or necklace featuring a woodburning design, all made by you. The session will be divided into two segments: the initial phase focuses on woodburning, while the second phase allows you to transform your creations into a stunning bracelet or necklace. With two talented instructors collaborating, you'll enjoy a unique experience that combines two artistic techniques.
In the first part of the class, you'll dive into your woodburning project. All necessary materials will be supplied, including wire woodburning tools, 1.5” wood slices, and other essential items. You can either select from a range of pre-made designs or create your own artwork on the wood before bringing it to life with your burning technique.
During the second half of the class, after completing your woodburned creation, you'll transform it into a beautiful bracelet and/or necklace. Each participant will receive a kit specifically for making their own jewelry. By the end of the session, you'll have a one-of-a-kind piece crafted entirely by you.
This class is suitable for all ranges and levels of experience. Students under 18 must have a guardian present. The accompanying guardian does not have to register for the class, but they are welcome to do so if they wish to join in the fun.
About your instructors: Cecilia Rolando is a local creative - busy drawing and painting - making art daily and enjoying it. She retired from working locally as Executive Directive of Northern Lakes Arts Association for 27 years; always though making art too. She uses watercolor and acrylics as well as her phone and computer apps as mediums. Current art making continues a lifetime of work, only now she has more time to do so. She shows at Cook’s Northwood’s Friends of the Arts Gallery, the Ely Watercolor Club Show and Sale in July, and recently had a solo show through NLAA at Ely’s Historic State Theater. Her unfinished website is artRolando.com and she is on Facebook.
Kelly Cramer moved to Ely in 2023. She's an artist specializing in woodburning. She's passionate about crafting unique pieces and fostering creativity in others through classes and workshops. Her work reflects a deep reverence for nature, and her favorite subjects to create are animals. While she's focused on woodburning, other art mediums she's explored include drawing, painting, graphic design, photography, writing, string art, and macrame.
