Makery Kids Club: Summer Fun
Dive into creativity this July with our Summer Fun Kids Club series at The Makery!
Designed especially for ages 4–12, this playful and hands-on art series invites children to explore summer-inspired projects using a variety of fun materials and techniques. From creating optical illusion artwork to sculpting clay trinket dishes and painting glowing masterpieces, each week offers a new creative adventure.
Children are welcome to attend one session or all three. Each class is sold individually, so you can choose the dates that work best for your family.
These one-hour workshops are designed to encourage imagination, creativity, and artistic confidence in a relaxed and welcoming studio environment. No experience is necessary, and all skill levels are welcome.
July Weekly Themes
Week 1 (7/4): Closed for Independence Day
There will be no Kids Club this week.
Week 2 (7/11): Agamograph Art
Create two unique scenes that come together to form a fun optical illusion as the artwork is viewed from different angles.
Week 3 (7/18): Clay Trinket Dish
Design and create your own clay trinket dish using hand-building techniques.
Note: Ceramic projects will be glazed during class and must remain at The Makery for firing. Finished pieces will be available for pickup approximately two weeks later.
Week 4 (7/25): Glow-in-the-Dark Painting
Use special glow-in-the-dark paints to create a magical summer-inspired artwork that comes to life when the lights go out.
