Open Call for Artists
The Makery invites artists to submit work for Golden Hour, a summer exhibition celebrating warmth, light, nostalgia, and the fleeting beauty of the season.
From glowing landscapes and vibrant florals to quiet moments of reflection, we welcome artwork that captures the feeling of summer — bold or subtle, joyful or contemplative.
All mediums are welcome, including painting, photography, ceramics, fiber, printmaking, mixed media, and sculpture.
Selected works will be exhibited at The Makery in downtown Wake Forest throughout the summer season.
Important Dates:
Drop off: Saturday, June 27th 10:00 - 4:00 Tuesday–Thursday, July 7th -9th, 2026 10:00- 4:00
Opening Reception: July 10th 6:30-8 pm
Pick Up: Tuesday August 25th - Saturday August 29th 2026 10-4 pm
