Benchspace Bites are fun, hands-on introductory sessions designed for beginners to explore a craft for the first time. In just one class, you’ll learn fundamental techniques and create your very own piece — perfect for hobbyists, curious creatives, or anyone considering a future in making.
Join tutor Nadine for a creative 3-hour jewellery class, where you’ll learn the essentials of working with metal while making your very own sterling silver ring.
You’ll begin by exploring a range of sample designs for inspiration, then practice using metal stamps to create your own patterns and motifs on copper. Once you’re confident, you’ll move on to silver – choosing either a 6mm band or a set of two 3mm stacking rings. You’ll also learn how to measure your finger size for a perfect fit.
Throughout the session, Nadine will guide you step-by-step through the process of shaping, texturing, soldering, and finishing your piece. You’ll come away with a solid understanding of fundamental jewellery-making techniques and a unique silver ring you made yourself.
Who can Join: This is a Beginner-Level class, suitable for Adults 18+ of all skill levels. Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to follow safety instructions are essential.
All tools and materials are included, visit the event link for more info.
