By the end of this 2-hour interactive workshop you will:

· understand the interview process and the variables which impact interview success (including review of previous years success factors )

· know how to correct approach the 3 Ps of Interview Excellence (Plan, Prepare and Practice) and avoid wasting time with the wrong approaches

· see opportunities in questions and have the knowledge of how to optimise those opportunities in a proactive manner

· evidence based techniques for dealing with interview anxiety

· understand the dynamics of the interviewee-interviewer relationship

· a practical action plan for interview preparation

This 2-hour practical and interactive workshop incorporates a multi modal blend of lecture style presentation with group and individual exercises which aims to optimise learning, and enable participants to leave the workshop with a practical action plan for interview preparation. Applications such as www.mentimetre.com will be used for elements of the delivery and participants will receive an Interview Preparation Bundle to support their interview preparation.

For the over 20 years Margaret has built a strong reputation as an interview coach, supporting medical and academic interviewees in Ireland, UK, Australia, America, Canada, and New Zealand. She has been invited speaker and host for NNWR Careers Day and Interview Sessions, RCSI, Women in Cardiology, as well as ongoing work with NIHR Public Health England and the Wellcome Trust on Career Planning and Interviews. Her success is recognised by virtue that all business comes from referrals from previous clients. She has conducted research exploring a Mindful Cognitive Behavioural Coaching approach to interview anxiety as part of her Masters in Personal and Leadership Coaching from UCC and is continuing this research and is currently also completing a Masters in Mindfulness Based Wellbeing.
