Wax Jewellery Class with Briar Hardy-Hesson of Fruit Bowl Studio - This beginners workshop covers the designing and making of a ring using jeweller’s wax that will be cast into sterling silver.
No experience is necessary! Just a love of jewellery and a desire to make. This is a very fun, relaxed and creative experience, likely to inspire and kickstart a new hobby and is designed for jewellery enthusiasts and beginners starting out their jewellery journey.
During the workshop you will carve and shape your ring from a wax blank. Your wax will then be sent away to be cast into sterling silver and returned to you finished via courier. To begin with, we’ll focus on getting you comfortable and familiar with carving wax and getting those ideas flowing. If you come with an idea, great! If not, no problem. I’ll be able to help you get started making something special. We’ll carve and shape your ring, perfecting your design so that you're happy with it. In a few weeks time, you will have your own very sterling silver ring that you have crafted yourself!
