About Makalidurga Sunrise Trek:

Located 60 km from Bangalore, Makalidurga Trek is a popular getaway for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. This serene hill trek offers breathtaking views of the surrounding greenery, rocky terrains, and a picturesque lake shaped like South America at its base. The trek begins near the Makalidurga Railway Station, accessible to beginners and seasoned trekkers. Spanning approximately 4–5 km, the trail is moderately challenging, taking about 2–3 hours to reach the summit.

Itinerary:

Day 0 - Bengaluru to Makalidurga

Meet at the designated starting point in Bengaluru and travel to Makalidurga by private transportation

Day 1 - Trek to Makalidurga Peak

03:30 AM Reach Makalidurga Trek base and start the trek

Around 05:00 AM, You will reach the Makalidurga Hill Peak

07:00 AM Descend dawn

09:30 AM Have Breakfast on the way at restaurant

11:30 AM Head back to Bangalore

1. RR Nagar (11:00 PM) - Gopalan Arcade, Mysore road

2. Banashankari (11:30 PM) - Bus Stop

3. BTM (11:40 PM) - Udupi Garden Bus Stop, Near A2B

4. Silk Board (12:00 AM) - Near Krishna Bhavan Restaurant

5. Marathahalli (12:30 AM) - Opposite to Kalamandir

6. Tin Factory (12:50 AM) - Metro Station

You’ll need to provide a government ID for your Trek Permit (Voter ID, Ration Card, Driving License, PAN Card, or Passport). (Aadhaar Card is not accepted).
