Join us at the Pima Community College Kitchen – Desert Vista Campus for a special evening celebrating maíz, culinary exchange, and Tucson’s connection to the Pueblos del Maíz network!
On Friday, September 25 from 4:00–5:30 PM, join Tucson City of Gastronomy Chef Ambassadors Aris Cabrera and Angela Garcia for cooking demonstrations and stories inspired by their experiences representing Tucson at Pueblos del Maíz.
Chef Aris will recreate the dish he presented in Bergamo, Italy, earlier this month, while Chef Angela will prepare the dish she shared at Pueblos del Maíz in San Antonio last year. Together, they’ll share the stories behind their dishes and how Tucson’s culinary heritage travels, connects, and evolves across communities.
