Mahi Tahi - working together to improve preterm birth care
The programme will be delivered through plenary sessions and interactive workshops that will cover many aspects of pregnancy care for spontaneous and provider-initiated preterm birth.
Topics include:
- Psychological impact of preterm birth and supporting mental health
- Caesarean section and subsequent preterm birth
- Identifying and caring for those at risk of preterm birth
- A Community of Practice supporting equity in spontaneous preterm birth care
- Case-based learning for spontaneous preterm birth and preterm FGR
- Stop, Collaborate and Listen - a whānau-led workshop
- The impact of Hapū Wānanga
- The preterm birth essentials - a student-led workshop

The Carosika Collaborative was established in 2020 following a national stakeholder hui and agreement to work together as a community with a shared purpose to co-ordinate intiatives and champion change that leads to a reduction in preterm birth, improved preparation for preterm birth and equitable outcomes for all pēpi that are born preterm in Aotearoa.
