Westminster Music Library welcomes pianist Rieko Makita for a free lunchtime concert. All are warmly welcome at this performance in a relaxed environment.

Where is Home?
Still Feels like Home
Rieko Makita is a Japanese-Australian pianist & composer based in London. Praised for her “opalescent subtlety… and vibrant colours” (The Arts Desk) and distinctive “piano artistry” (ClassikON) in performances, she has performed internationally, including a sold-out debut at the Royal Albert Hall (Elgar Room), Sinfonia Smith Square and the Sydney Opera House, and a live broadcast on BBC Radio 3. In 2023-24, she was appointed as the Constant & Kit Lambert Fellow at the Royal College of Music.
This October, she is releasing her debut EP of her original music, supported by the PRS Foundation. Her upcoming concerts include a collaborative show with Koshun Nakao at SJQ London on September 20th and her EP Launch show at St James' Sussex Gardens on October 24th.
