Our next “Lunch and Learn” lecture is Tuesday, June 16! Before planes, trains and automobiles, Cherokees expertly navigated waterways by canoe. Understanding and practicing this great tradition in the present, Mason Gray, Elias Minshew and Jeremiah Fitts of the Telliko Canoe Society will share their knowledge from 12 – 1 p.m. in the Northeastern State University Jazz Lab.
A light lunch is provided — you may also bring your own sack lunch to this event. Learn about “Traditional Cherokee Canoe Culture” from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at 315 N. Muskogee Ave. in Tahlequah.
