Lunch & Learn - Educational Legacy of the Landers:

Join us with your lunch at the Anderson County Museum on September 1 at noon to hear Laura Lander discuss some of the Lander’s contributions to the educational landscape of Anderson County. She will tell the story of Williamston Female College and its founder, Rev. Samuel Lander. The college was started in February 1872 and remained a prominent institution for women’s education in Anderson County until it moved in 1904. She will also be discussing the grandson of Rev. Lander, her father, William Tertius Lander, Jr., and his work as an educator in Anderson.
