Have we got a Paul Bunyan-sized adventure for you! Join us for Lumberjack Days 2026, a four-day festival of fun and flannel March 26-29.
Senior Brunch and Learn: Lumberjacks of Michigan
Thursday, March 26
9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Join Lumberjack and Logging Museum historian Jerry Berg as he leads us on a trip back to the virgin forests of early Michigan and tells the tales of the Shanty Boy Lumberjacks that lived there. Not only will the work of the lumberjacks be shared, but also the unique culture that arose and led to Michigan's early identity and the impact on the state. This presentation features plenty of artifacts from the museum's collection!
Preregistration is required. Cost is $8 per person.
Educational Tables and Visiting Partners
Thursday, March 26, through Saturday, March 28
11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Explore hands-on educational tables all four days! Visit with our partners in forestry, environmental education and recreation on Friday and Saturday.
Included with the price of admission.
Plaid Tie Dinner- CANCELLED due to low registration
Friday, March 27
6:30-9 p.m.
Enjoy a strolling dinner catered by The Mushroom Conservatory , a bonfire, axe throwing with Warrior Throwing and more. Don’t forget to wear your fancy flannel! This event is sponsored by Friends of the Outdoor Adventure Center. This event is for those 21 or older; please provide ID upon check-in.
Cost is $60 per person; parking fees included.
Lumberjack Pancake Run and Pancake Breakfast
Sunday, March 29
9:30 a.m.-noon
Run or walk the Silver Dollar Mile (beginning at 9:30 a.m.) or Flapjack 5k (starting at 10 a.m.) and refuel afterward at the Lumberjack Pancake Breakfast. You'll also receive a custom medal, lumberjack buff and complimentary admission to the OAC.
Feeling legendary, and ready for more? Tackle the Lumberjack’s Breakfast combination race! Runners will compete in both the Silver Dollar Mile and the Flapjack 5k, and take home a unique finisher’s medal, plus get a lumberjack buff and OAC entry and enjoy a pancake breakfast.
Preregistration is required.
Cost is $5-55 per person.
