Friday Concert Series: Tom Alter & Nick Juno

Tom Alter is a singer-songwriter, known for his soulful voice and guitar skills. With a rich blend of folk, rock, and Americana influences, Alter has carved out a niche in the vibrant Detroit music scene. His songwriting reflects personal experiences, social issues, and the landscapes of his hometown. Tom's performances include a variety of well-known and perhaps not so well-known songs by other artists, ranging from music of the last half of the twentieth century to current tunes.

Alter began his musical journey at a young age, inspired by the diverse sounds of Detroit, from Motown legends to the Detroit rock scene. Over the years, he has honed his craft, performing at local venues and festivals.

Tom is known for collaborating with other local musicians and contributing to various community projects, showcasing his commitment to the arts and the Detroit music scene. He records and performs regularly with singer/songwriter Katie Williamson as the duo After Blue.
