Derby! U

Derby! U is a one-night event for new skaters interested in joining Detroit Roller Derby.

One part orientation, one part skills assessment, this mandatory meeting is the best place for you to get all your DRD questions answered!

New skaters that attend Derby! U and pass the skating skills assessment will be invited to join our upcoming Bootcamp, which will run on Tuesday nights (7:30-10pm) & Sunday mornings (9-10:30am) from 4/7/26 to 6/30/26.

Participants are required to be on skates (quad-style roller skates) and fully geared up (helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, and mouthguard) to participate.
