Lufkin’s Lighted Christmas Parade returns to Downtown Lufkin on Saturday, December 5, 2026, as part of Christmas in the Pines weekend!
This year’s theme is Red, White & Bright: An American Christmas, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States of America with Christmas lights, hometown pride, classic Americana, and the spirit of unity that brings our community together.
Bring the family, invite your friends, and join us downtown for one of Lufkin’s most beloved holiday traditions. The parade will begin at 5:30 PM and will feature festive floats, marching bands, vehicles, walking groups, schools, churches, businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations lighting up the night.
Parade Registration:
Parade entry registration opens online Monday, August 10, 2026. Registration is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Spots fill up quickly, so groups interested in participating are encouraged to mark their calendars and register early.
Important Parade Reminder:
For the safety of children, families, participants, and spectators, candy, flyers, samples, promotional items, or any other materials may not be thrown, handed out, or distributed from any float, vehicle, walking group, or parade entry during Saturday’s parade.
Groups that would like to pass out candy, goodies, or connect with the community are encouraged to participate in Friday evening’s Lighting of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Pumping Unit as part of Christmas in the Pines weekend.
