LOVE YOUR BEACH: COMMUNITY WALKJoin us for a 20km sunrise beach walk along one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the Bay of Plenty while supporting Omanu & Papamoa Surf Life Saving clubs.
Starting at Omanu Surf Life Saving Club, we’ll walk along the beach to Parton Road and back (20km total), enjoying the sunrise, ocean views, and great community vibes along the way.
This event is about community, movement, and giving back to the people who keep our beaches safe.
EVENT DETAILS
Date: Saturday 2 May
Location: Omanu Surf Life Saving Club
6:00am – Arrive and check in
6:15-6:45am – Optional beach yoga warm-up
6:45am – Breakfast sandwiches served
7:00am – 20km walk begins at sunrise
Estimated Finish: Around 12pm-1pm
If you don’t want to complete the full walk, you can also join the 10km option starting on the beach at Parton Road, Papamoa at 9:30am.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Your ticket includes:
• Optional sunrise beach yoga warm-up
• Breakfast sandwich before the walk (thanks to Omanu Surf Club)
• 20km community beach walk supporting local Surf Life Saving
Coffee will be available to purchase and there will be a BBQ at the finish line.

Funds raised from this event will support Omanu & Papamoa Surf Life Saving Clubs who dedicate countless hours to keeping our beaches safe.

• Dogs are welcome
• Participants should bring their own snacks
• Water will be available along the route
• Please be prepared for all weather conditions
You’re welcome to walk the full distance or join for part of the walk.
