A free community event to swap garden goods and learn how to make pesto.
Bring your homegrown goodies to share or swap, and stay for a fun pesto-making workshop (registration required) where you’ll learn how to turn garden greens into delicious, creative pestos using what you have on hand.
From spinach and parsley to carrot tops and radish greens, discover tasty no-waste combinations and sample a range of pestos made from excess harvests. A simple, fun way to connect, learn, and make the most of your home garden.
This event is part of the Flavours of Plenty Festival, an annual celebration of the Coastal Bay of Plenty’s vibrant food scene. The festival runs from 16 April to 3 May 2026.
