The Canary Wharf Virtual Tour from ‘Let’s Discover London’ is the story of the rise, decline and rise once more of the Isle of Dogs in London.
It's an amazing story about resilience against failure. Hear about a proud local community (who once declared their own independent country), of bustling docks filled with rum and sugar, of pirates, of executions, of the courage of digging the world‘s first under-river tunnel, of London’s first Chinese community, Chinatown, of early canal networks … most of all, it is the story of resilience.
Using google Earth images, photos and lots of true stories, this is a virtual tour of the remarkable story of the rise, decline and rise once more of the area known as the Isle of Dogs.About this tour:

How to join the virtual tour:

3. Five minutes before start time, click on the link we send you or log in via the Zoom app and then sit back and enjoy the tour.
4. Please put your microphone on mute, but you will be able to unmute and ask questions at the end of every stop.
