About this Event

Latino Conservation Week: Disfrutando y Conservando Nuestra Tierra is an initiative of Hispanic Access Foundation. Latino Conservation Week was created to support the Latino community getting into the outdoors and participating in activities to protect our natural resources.

Join us, Latino Outdoors SF Bay Area, Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District and Hispanic Access Foundation to kick off LCW 2026.

Event Overview

  • Where: El Corte de Madera Creek
  • Meeting Location: Cubberley Community Center in Palo Alto. Please meet here, we will shuttle over, bus transportation provided.
  • Date: September 13, 2026
  • Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • What: Guided Ranger Hike, about 2.5 miles long, easy hike out to the Methuselah Tree, a majestic old-growth redwood.

We will have food and snacks to share. Please be sure to bring water, wear sun protection, comfortable hiking shoes, and dress in layers. NO PETS are allowed.
