LMS PhD TOCA Social - 28th January 2026

We know that PhDs can feel isolating at times - especially during the darker, colder months - and our Hammersmith campus can make it even harder to naturally bump into other students. This social is a chance to change that. Come along to meet new people, catch up with friends, chat about your project (or not!), and enjoy some football-themed fun, snacks, and drinks in a low-pressure setting.

Whether you’re looking to expand your network, share experiences, pick up tips from different year groups, or simply unwind, this event is for you. These informal spaces are a great way to build confidence in talking about your research, discover what others in the Institute are working on, and start creating the supportive peer relationships that make a huge difference throughout the PhD journey.

This event is generously supported by the ECRI Community Fund, whose contribution helps us continue improving student wellbeing and strengthening the research culture within the LMS.

LMS Student Committee Social Secs

Each ticket includes:

• 60 minute interactive football game suited to your skill level
• 1 x Token which can be redeemed against 1 drink (house wine, beers, a glass of bubbles or soft drinks)
• Share of snacks/food: Loaded Nachos, Gyozas and waffle fries

Tickets are free but there are limited spaces (30) so book fast to avoid dissapointment!

Only Imperial College London PhD Students are eligible for this event.
