Listen to the Land Forest Walk
Hosted by Amy Reiswig
About this Event
Listen to the Land Forest Walk invites you back to W̱MÍYEŦEN (wh-my-eh-then: place of the deer) Nature Sanctuary to explore the connection between place, story, and survival.
Join former Focus magazine book columnist Amy Reiswig as she leads us into trails of deep green peace, where birdsong, creek burble, and the rustle of wind meeting leaf all frame the words and wisdom of guest readers Katłı̨̀ą, Briony Penn, and Neil Griffin.
These award-winning non-fiction writers all touch on the importance of listening to what the land can tell us about fragility and interdependence, and how stories, if we really pay attention, can inspire change in all of our lives.
Please be prepared for an outdoor walk that will go ahead rain or shine (think raingear, warm layers, sturdy waterproof footwear, maybe a hot drink). Bring both energy and calm awareness for over an hour’s walk in nature’s beauty.
Includes a warming tea and a sweet treat.
