Kids Fest is Victoria Festival of Authors' Free event for book-loving kids!
Eleven children’s book authors will have tables set up in the gym of Fernwood Community Centre, leading children through crafts and activities related to their books.
There will be passports for children to collect signatures, snacks, face painting and prizes! The Greater Victoria Public Library will be present to sign children up for library cards. Local Elder Sky Bellefleur will be in a cozy nook, storytelling with puppets.
Kids Fest isn’t the only programming for children on the 17th. The day begins with workshops led by Story Studio from 10:30 to 12:00. Then, after Kids Fest, there will be readings by local youth upstairs in Fernwood Community Centres multi-purpose room.
