We hope you’ll join us for this experiment. We’re attempting to replicate (on a smaller scale) the days of the Willowbrook Ballroom and Cadillac Ranch. Remember when couples and line dancers could occupy the same dance floor at the same time? That’s what we’re going for!
We have been working on this labor of love for some time now, but finding a reasonable venue big enough to accommodate us has been challenging. Our solution was to partner with the Wheaton Park District and make it an official park district event in their newly expanded “Zone” dance studio on the lower level. Here are the details:
6:45pm to 8:45pm
We will be playing a mix of 70s through present day pop and country music.
All music will be danceable to line & couples dancing. Applicable line dances and couples dance styles will be called immediately before every dance.
We will not be providing dance instruction at the event, but there will be a quick, one-wall review of some line dances as needed. Of course Devin & I will be available for questions.
5:45pm to 6:45pm
*There will also be an optional dance workshop for an additional fee, immediately before the dance in the same room. Students in the workshop will have the option of attending either a beginner couples group, or a beginner-plus line dance group. That decision can be made the day of the workshop. More information about the workshop offerings will be posted here, as it becomes available.
