After mid-life, you may feel that the best years are behind you or that your time is fast running out. Many fear the loss of their independence as they drift into later life. So, are we powerless? Far from it! Despite the challenges that come with growing older, we can discover our inner power and wisdom that we could never have accessed (or even imagined) in our younger days. Many feel that their earlier life has not equipped them to deal with growing older, but through recent scientific research around neuroplasticity, we can fundamentally reframe our ageing journey.
It’s natural to question our identity after our working life ends, but rather than becoming a fossilised version of our younger self, we can grow and develop by transforming the fear of ageing and death into vital life-force.
ADAM DUNCAN: Author & Life-Stage Director. Adam has over 40 years of designing and delivering training materials to large organisations such as Radisson Hotels, BBC and Amnesty International. Now 76, he has a passion to prevent unnecessary suffering in later life through awareness of our inner resources.
LIFE-STAGE COMMUNITY Since 2019, Life-Stage has had over 750 people attend events mostly in Brighton and Sussex. We run monthly workshops and online discussions for members.
