Ahead of the 2025 F1 season, join us for an evening with Red Bull Racing’s senior engineer Calum Nicholas as he talks about his career and Life in the Pitlane, his inspiring new memoir.
Replete with all the high-octane tales and behind the scenes details you’d expect from a life lived next to the fast lane, Life in the Pitlane details the realities of life off the track; the good and the bad, with a particular spotlight on diversity and inclusion within the sport, plus all the entertaining stories and behind the scenes details fans of F1 will be looking for.
Life in the Pitlane brings a brand-new perspective to the sport, as Calum reflects on his career so far, how the sport has changed for those working in it, the realities of life on the road and the future he hopes lies ahead.
Calum Nicholas is the Senior Power Unit Assembly Technician at Red Bull Racing and is responsible for making sure the car’s various systems are operating and optimal for race day. Calum also forms part of the all-important pitstop crew that up until 2023 held the world record for an F1 pitstop. Since joining Red Bull Racing in 2015, Calum has been part of the team that has brought Red Bull back to its winning ways. Red Bull have won four consecutive World Championships with driver Max Verstappen and in 2022 and 2023 they won the Constructors’ Championship.
