Tattoos X Life Drawing X Plants
The Island invites you into our cosy space for our monthly life drawing class. Featuring a live model with tattoo-inspired markings created by one of our artists, offering a unique reference for your drawings.
This is not a taught class, however we will have an assistant to help guide if needed. There’s no expectation to “get it right,” and no pressure to show your work to others. These sessions are for you to explore your creative practice. All experience levels are welcome!
You’re welcome to bring additional drawing materials, but please keep in mind this is a working studio. We’d appreciate avoiding materials that could spill or mark the furniture in the space, such as paints, inks or willow charcoal.
We will provide drawing boards, A4/A3 paper and newsprint, charcoal pencils, graphite pencils and erasers.
Spaces are limited to keep the session intimate.
Please enter via Dock Place car park as the other gates will be locked. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to get settled. Anyone arriving after the start time will not be admitted, as the model will already be in place.
