Life Drawing at the Cookeville Art Studio

Life Drawing/Painting Sessions at CAS!

Now accepting enrollment in ongoing Drawing/Painting still life sessions beginning January 2026

Class is Drop in and Facilitated

Subjects will range from clothed models and still lives/props

Easels/chairs/table space provided- bring any other materials that you would like to use. Grab your charcoal, acrylic, watercolor, oil, or any other media and join us in drawing from life on Fridays!

Facilitation will include:

• 5:30-6:00
• • Introducing subject matter, and teaching on similar art history of subject.
• 6:00-6:30
• • Thumbnailing/sketching of subject
• 6:30-8:00
• • Creating and advice in building of image
• 8:00-8:30
• • Group Critique of all student work at end of each session

Where: Cookeville Art Studio

When: Fridays 5:30-8:30pm 2026

Cost: $20 drop in and/or pay what you can

Maximum 20 people per session

Age Range: Adult

Note

• We will not be working with nude models, all models will be clothed.
• Reference materials provided from CAS library and Facilitator
