The Lavender Cafe Orchestra are hosting a Tea Dance to celebrate the LGBTQAI+ community in Saltaires’ Victoria Hall🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️. There will be live music, a beginners dance lesson and wholesome, wonderful vibes! We are a 20 or so musician orchestra formed to play live dance music - that's Latin, ballroom and sequence - at lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgendered and queer community events.
That means that if you don't want society telling you whether you should lead, follow or even dance with another person, the Lavender Cafe Orchestra can play for you.
We are non-profit making and the money we make enables us to pay for rehearsal space and cover costs for venue hire and paying our dj's and technicians a proper rate. We make our concessionary tickets as inexpensive as possible. We have recently registered as a UK Charity.
