Event intro:
AI is seemingly everywhere at present in Responsible Investing and Sustainable Finance more broadly promising to revolutionise how we work, achieve unprecedented cost savings and enable a new scale of productivity previously unseen. It seems every solution on the market right now contains AI in some shape or form with extraordinary benefits promised for Investment Research, Benchmarking, Screening and Stewardship workflows.
Beyond the hype many leaders are adopting Generative AI (GenAI) solutions such as Large Language Models (LLMs) to varying degrees of success leveraging a mix of general purpose and specialist tools. This educational breakfast event hosted by sustainable fintech specialists Neural Alpha in conjunction with Nawar Alsaadi (CEO of Kanata Advisors, and KanataQ), offers a unique opportunity to engage with experts to understand how to start leveraging AI in your workflows, common pitfalls to avoid and accelerators to embrace.
This intimate event offers fantastic networking opportunities with other financial services professionals interested in the topic of AI and brings together two industry leading speakers to share their practical thoughts on recent market trends and opportunities. Two short talks will be followed by an interactive roundtable to discuss key topics on AI adoption in Responsible Investment followed by further networking opportunities to close. Places are extremely limited so make sure to register as soon as possible.
Talks:
Title: Getting started with AI in Sustainable Finance - the do’s & don'ts
Presenter - James Phare
The rapid recent development of Large Language Models and Generative AI has meant AI now dominates many conversations in Sustainable Finance. It promises to revolutionise how we acquire data, analyse risks and opportunities and ultimately take action - freeing us up from mundane work to focus on higher value analytical tasks. However often the promises fail to materialise with data quality issues, ‘hallucinations’, greenwashing risks and a bias towards companies’ positive claims cited as key adoption barriers.
In this talk James will share some practical guidance on proven use cases to drive AI adoption, overcome implementation risks and achieve new scale and cost reduction in sustainable finance requirements.
Title: The State of Sustainable Business - Cutting Through The Sustainability Noise
Presenter - Nawar Alsaadi
There has been much noise of late around the state of sustainable business and sustainable investing. In this talk, Nawar Alsaadi will provide an empirical, data-driven, overview of the state of the sustainability space, covering areas such as : The pace of sustainable business investments, ESG disclosure trends, sustainable assets performance, ESG regulations, ESG data markets, and the growing role of AI in enabling sustainable business transformation.
