Each person is given an A6 sketchbook and graphite stick. We will explore the Design Museum, and try to each make 41 drawings in 2 hours.

41 drawings workshop @ The Design Museum, London

Each person is given a small A6 sketchbook and a stick of graphite. The objective of the workshop is to walk through the free exhibitions and make 41 fast paced drawings in 2 hours.

Tomorrow’s Wardrobe showcases the urgent research and innovation taking place across the UK to rethink how the world of fashion works. Moving from fabric landscapes to design studios to individual garments, the display presents a future built from both high-tech and low-tech tools: sewing machines, robotic arms, artificial intelligence, digital ids, upcycling, recycling and more.

Tomorrow’s Wardrobe is curated by Future Observatory, the Design Museum’s national research programme for the green transition.

Fables for our Time features three panels, each of which tells a particular story about an ecosystem that is vital to a thriving planet: the ecosystems of bees, coral and mushrooms.

Each artwork in the display consists of three layers presented across 176 rotating prisms. The foreground layer is for storytelling, the midground depicts environments in friezes, and the background offers a glimpse of another world

There will be lots of objects and starting points for conversation and inspiration to make some drawings.

All abilities welcome and this workshop is free to access. This specific session is hosted by Nima @nima.shafiani who works as an artist in today's London.

We will meet as a group at the main entrance of the Design Museum at 1.45pm and the session will start at 2pm.
